Whiny Bear

Here is an illustration I did for a magazine at work. The article spoke how parents could use teddy bears to help toddlers who have a tendency to whine a lot.
The bear was modeled in ZBrush. Then a low res mesh was exported into Modo where I created the fur and did the final render. Some post work done in Photoshop.
The first sketch I did for this illustration was rejected by the art director. He said the bear looked too angry. So, I had him sit on the floor in my office and act out exactly what he wanted. I quickly sketched it on a napkin and he approved it.

Elephant

Here is an illustration I did the first of this year. I came up with the idea for this after reading an article written by a fellow employee.
The elephant was modeled and textured in ZBrush. The file was then exported to Modo. The church was modeled in Modo as well as the final render. Some post work done in Photoshop.

CG Workshop class

First of all, it has been a while since I updated the site. I've just been extremely busy.
Back in November of last year I took a CG Workshop class on concept sculpting. Here are a few images I created in the class...

After doing 20 thumbnail sketches, here is the final comp I made with ZBrush and Photoshop.
Here is the final sculpt.

Here is the final image. It was rendered in ZBrush then composited in Photoshop. I really enjoyed the class and learned some new techniques.
